This single malt matured for over two decades in carefully selected oak casks before being matured in high-quality Madeira casks from Portugal. These casks bring additional notes of dried fruits, roasted nuts and fine wine aromas to the already complex basic profile of Aberfeldy. The distillery is known for its smooth, honeyed style - this remains clearly noticeable in the Madeira Edition, but is enhanced by the maturation in wine casks with floral depth and sweet-spicy nuances.
With an alcohol content of 40% vol., this whisky is accessible, round and complex. Packaged in an elegant gift box, it also makes an excellent gift for special occasions. Tasting notes: Color: Rich gold with amber reflections.
Nose: Complex and inviting with honey, ripe mango, dried figs, toffee, orange blossom and a hint of clove.
